Giuseppe-Matteo Vaccaro-Incisa is Professor of International Dispute Settlement and International Law in IESEG School of Management in Paris and Visiting Professor of advanced Public International Law and International Investment Law in Université Catholique de Lille. He is also of counsel at Studio Legal Vaccaro (Italy).
He received Ph.D. magna cum laude in International Law (Geneva, 2014); advanced LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (IHEID, MIDS, 2009); M.Sc. in Law with focus on international media & TLC (Bocconi, 2007). Admitted to the bar of Madrid (2010) and Florence (2012); and expected to join the bar of England and Wales (2016).
He participated to several commercial arbitration proceedings, domestic and international, especially in disputes involving media and broadcasting operators, as party counsel and assistant to the presiding arbitrator. Moreover, through ad hoc collaborations with prestigious international legal teams, and thanks to his past experience as research and practice fellow to Prof. Giorgio Sacerdoti, Dr. Vaccaro-Incisa has participated to selected international commercial and investment arbitrations, with specific regard to procedural, jurisdictional, and interpretive issues.
He assists Italian media broadcasters in international litigation and transactions on cross-border radio-frequency interferences against private parties, public entities, and foreign governments. He has also developed a significant experience in ADR proceedings between TLC & energy utility providers and private operators and consumers.
Authored numerous analyses on international law issues, and European integration, politics and law, presented in several public and private institutions (e.g., University of Belgrade, University of Warsaw, University of Ljubljana, Trinity College of Melbourne, University of Buenos Aires). Dr. Vaccaro-Incisa also holds seminars on techniques of advocacy, public speaking, and drafting of legal memorials for international courts and tribunals.
Member of the American Society of International Law (ASIL), the European Society of International Law (ESIL), the Society for International Economic Law (SIEL) and the International Bar Association (IBA).
